50 years ago Georgios Hatzisotiriou, the company’s founder, started out as a fish seller in Northern Greece. A man of vision with a great deal of knowledge and experience in the seafood industry, he supplied important businesses with the freshest fish of the season, always maintaining perfect relations with them.
His principles and philosophy were special attention to quality and, as a result, the satisfaction of his clients.
This implicit professionalism in his field resulted in his very quickly acquiring a reputation for excellence throughout the country of Greece.
With his continually developing contribution to this extremely sensitive area of quality nutrition, the company was consolidated and always achieved success.
The company’s network of colleagues and customers widened, and this successful course continued for decades.
In 1985, the Hatzisotiriou sons (Athanasios and Ermolaos) came to collaborate, broaden and support their father’s creation with a new, fresh spirit.
Taking over management of the company, the Hatzisotiriou sons developed its course with modern means and technical equipment.
In 1995 the company took the form it has today with the name Aqua Trade S.A.
Today, along with its wholesale trade in fish and seafood (fresh and frozen), Aqua Trade is also active in processing shrimp kinds (prawns, crayfish, shrimps), thus enriching its activities and acquiring a particular specialization in them. These products are already being exported to Europe, especially to Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Great Britain.
The variety of these excellent products is always increasing and Aqua Trade aims to create a new series of delicious pre-cooked seafood dishes, which will be promoted on the national and international markets.
